  • Prevalence

    Lupus affects an estimated 1.5 million Americans and at least 5 million people worldwide.

    Demographics

    90% of people with lupus are women, typically developing between ages 15-44. It's more prevalent in African American, Hispanic/Latina, Asian American, Native American, and Pacific Islander women.
